Specific duties:
- Plan and lead engaging recreational activities for children, caregivers, and families.
- Facilitate games, crafts, seasonal activities, or other family-friendly experiences.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for participants of all ages.
- Set up, organize, and clean up activity spaces before and after each session
- Recreation volunteers are asked to work 2 shifts a month for a 6 month commitment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Criminal record check required

Help families get where they need to go with care and compassion. Shuttle Driver Volunteers provide transportation between Ronald McDonald House Alberta and local hospitals and medical facilities, helping reduce stress and ensuring families can focus on what matters most
Specific duties:
- Safely transport families between Ronald McDonald House Alberta and local hospitals or medical facilities using a House vehicle.
- Provide a welcoming, respectful, and compassionate experience for every passenger.
- Shuttle Drivers are asked to work 2 shifts a month for a 6 month commitment
- Must be 25 years or older
- Criminal record check required
- Volunteer orientation and onboarding completion required
- Clean drivers abstract

Specific duties:
- Provide professional self-care or wellness services within your area of expertise.
- Create a welcoming, calming, and respectful experience for every family member.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized Time for You room throughout each shift.
- Volunteers are asked to work 1 shift a month for a 6 month commitment
- Must be 18 years or older

Certified Pet Therapy teams bring comfort, companionship, and moments of joy to families staying at Ronald McDonald House Alberta. Friendly visits from therapy dogs help create a calming, welcoming environment, offering families a chance to relax, connect, and simply enjoy the unconditional love of a furry friend.
Specific duties:
- Visit Ronald McDonald House Alberta with a certified therapy animal during scheduled volunteer shifts
- Provide friendly, supportive interactions with families, children, and guests
- Follow all Ronald McDonald House Alberta policies and Pet Therapy program guidelines
- 2 visits a month for a 6 month commitment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Criminal record check required

- Must be certified for Pet Therapy

Create a welcoming experience for volunteer groups preparing meals through our Home for Dinner program. Kitchen Concierge Volunteers guide groups from arrival to cleanup, ensuring they feel confident, supported, and ready to provide a delicious meal for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Alberta
Specific duties:
- Welcome and steward Home for Dinner volunteer groups throughout their visit.
- Complete volunteer sign-in and assist with donation and tax receipt processes.
- Deliver the Home for Dinner orientation and provide a kitchen tour upon arrival.
- Support groups by answering questions, locating supplies, and keeping activities on schedule.
- Help ensure food safety standards and kitchen procedures are followed.
- Kitchen Concierge volunteers are asked to volunteer one shift a week for a 6 month commitment
- Must be 18 years or older

Help make mealtime one less thing for families to worry about. Home for Dinner volunteers prepare and serve a nourishing evening meal, giving families the opportunity to gather, connect, and recharge after a long day. It’s a meaningful way to create comfort, community, and a sense of home
