Helping families stay together for more than 40 years

Helping families stay together for more than 40 years

Since 1985, we have provided tens of thousands of families with sick or injured children with the accommodation, support, and resources they need to heal together.

Through our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat, Ronald McDonald House® Alberta provides a warm, compassionate home-away-from-home for families travelling to access medical care. Serving families from nearly 300 communities across Alberta and beyond, we help ease the financial and emotional burdens of treatment so families can stay close, find strength in togetherness, and focus on what matters most: being there for their children every step of the way.

Mission

We provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural safety are guiding principles at Ronald McDonald House® Alberta. We recognize the ongoing need to ensure DEI is reflected in our day-to-day activities; to champion continuous learning for staff, volunteers and the board; to create policies and practices that support DEI; and to find ways to measure our progress and continually improve.
